A foolish barber and his wife.
She was his reason and his life, And she was beautiful....”
Nicodemus was terrified of Desreal.
In all reality he hadn't meant to come here, but a wrong turn had led him straight into it. There were ghosts here, and I don't mean that in a superstitious way. Nicodemus' past haunted him, and this placed could be damned to Hell for all he cared, because it would diminish the chances of him ever having to return. Desreal held the key to alot of his past. It would tell so many why he hated his own King, yet loved his lands. Nicodemus' troubles all remained here, locked away until someone found it and pried the key from his dead body.
The other men that he would meet here tonight Nicodemus had never seen. Phyr held the scent of Andarin, so he assumed it was his home, and the other was very faintly smelling of the ocean. Solira. In all reality Nicodemus wasn't paying much attention to where they came from, his thoughts were scattered while he was here. Andraste, his Phoenix, reflected this with her aggitated pattern of flight above him. This was where she had died. This very place still held her scent....
But that was a story for later times.
Nicodemus met them with clear accident written upon his very steps. But his nerves were calmed with the thought that there were others here, who may speak with him. Who may take his thoughts away from where he was. His stature was calm, collected, but his flames and eyes were nothing but chaos.
"It seems that I'm not the only one troubled tonight." He chuckles to the one called Ash, then nods to the other. "Nicodemus." Andraste calms for a while, her great wings floding as she takes her perch upon his withers, her eyes bearing into the two stallions before her. Her eyes are piercing things, clearly intelligent though rather predatorial. Nicodemus often got looks of fear only for the strange firebird, and for this he has learned to introduce her with him. "Don't worry about Andraste. She is rather harmless to those who intend me no harm."
