The death of her father, the king of Andarin, had spread like wildfire throughout the element. It had defeated her. In more ways than one, but probably ways that would always be a secret to her. The betrayals she had done had also put her into the life of a wanderer. Her mind, fractured and long gone, would probably never be the same it used to be. A life of hardships did not prove helpful to the young mare. She didn't know who she looked for. She didn't know why she was even looking. She should search for the cliff Rook "fell" off of. She should go to its higher peak and through herself off. Rid this world of her insanity. But she was too afraid. When she saw the bay mare she stopped. Hoping she wouldn't see her. The sight of Delilah was the last thing she wanted to see. She turned slowly in an attempt to back away. Run away. Get as far away from her as she possibly could. SNAP! The deafening crack of a dead tree limb breaking was enough to wake corpses in this silence. She flinched, unmoving for a moment, before she could bring herself to turn around. Somehow with the commotion in Andarin she didn't believe Delilah even knew yet. Would Fantome even tell her? Would he be too ashamed? She gulped and forced a smile across her dry lips. Her eyes so filled with rain their colors were muddled. "Delilah..." She fought to keep the smile against her lips and pushed her rigid body forward. "I didn't see you there." In her lifetime she had become the liar. "I'm sorry about Kale..." This statement was true. The pain in her voice could not be hidden. He had been her king once and he would always be her father. "I never got to tell him..." But that wasn't important right now. "Delilah, there's something else...something went wrong in the desert." Her lips and tongue were dry even though her water was strong. "I don't know what happened to me." She wanted to cry, but the rain in her eyes would not fall. "Fantome thought I was you...I let him believe it..." Then the rain fell. As words, not tears. They tumbled from her mouth without a second thought. "I...I'm...pregnant." She gasped in air as she realized she hadn't taken a breath for a few moments. "I am so sorry." And she was, she did not fully understand what had happened. She did not know why it happened. She just new that it did and when it did she was not herself. She was not the wolf-child. She was not the one with rainbow smiles. She was not Oceantree. She backed away a few steps. Out of fear that the mare she once called friend would attack her. Like she had with her opponents. She was always a warrior after all. She felt Illusionist fight against her elements. Fight against her control. Trying to change her as her fear and sorrow built up. For once she fought back. She would not hide from Delilah now.
