From behind her, she could sense someone in the waters, but she came forward anyway, letting her power over water manipulate it into a perfect puddle at the black stallion’s hooves. Her body was changing slightly; she was a darker color of gold and her mane and tail were beginning to turn black. She would be a buckskin. Her oceanic eyes betrayed nothing but the pure glee of finding a new friend amongst this place. Halo had been her first real friend to find her here, and she doubted that she really believed him when he told her that there were monsters around here. The small filly smiled, but it faded as soon as she felt the waters whispering to her about a new presence. Courage wasn’t sure how to act around Genesis, but as soon as she saw her mother, there was a small smile still on her face. The great white mare came forward and smiled to her daughter, which made Courage’s water element jump excitedly in glee. The white mare came to stand beside her daughter, smiling as she towered over her still. ”Courage,” she said with a smile. And she turned her attention back to the familiar black stallion, almost hesitant in what she would say next. ”Fantome, I see you’ve met our daughter.”

Courage nearly leapt for joy in that moment, when she turned from one to the other. She didn’t know if it was true, so she searched her water element to discover it. And that was when she knew it to be true; their water elements were predominant in their bodies. The young filly took a step closer to the stallion, letting her eyes match his, the ocean swirling in their depths. ”Father?” Emotions ran high through her, and she felt like she would almost run away. But she didn’t. She would stay here for as long as she needed. After all, she had learned to stick up for herself and not run away from everything.
