Bob Titchenal Memorial Service July 19 At San Jose State
A memorial service for former San Jose State All-America center and football head coach Bob Titchenal (1917-2009), one of the original San Francisco 49ers, will take place, Sunday, July 19, 2:00 p.m., at the Spartan Memorial Chapel on the university’s main campus.
Parking will be available in university’s the 4th and 7th street garages.
In lieu of flowers, the Titchenal family requests donations in Mr. Titchenal’s name be made either to the National Football League’s Caring for Kids program or the San Jose State University Spartan Foundation.
Those donating to the Caring for Kids program can mail a check to the NFL Alumni Northern California Chapter at 1311 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, CA 94061.
Those donating to the Spartan Foundation in Mr. Titchenal’s name can mail a check to The Bob Titchenal Memorial Fund, c/o The Spartan Foundation, San Jose State University Athletics, 1 Washington Square, San Jose, CA 95192 or donate online at
