It's been a tough couple of months!! Bob passed away on Friday, May 1st, after a difficult couple of weeks. Palsy had set in on his right side the last week in April. Dave Roberts brought Bob by car from Ashland to Paso on Monday, April 27th.
We could tell Bob was going down hill quickly. That next week was very tough as Bob lost his ability to communicate, and the seizures began taking him into frequent grand mal seizures for the last few days of his life. Scott, Kristen, brother Kent, and I assisted Bob through all his difficult seizures 24/7. Hospice was terrific, but watching Bob die was taking it's toll on all of us.
Bob passed away at 3:30 PM on May 1st. Since then, we have been dealing with Scott's unknown illness and pending trips to Stanford Medical Center for further diagnosis and treatments.
We now finally have nailed down a memorial service on June 21st for Bob here in California (details below) There will also be a service on Sat. June 27th in Ashland Oregon.
Service details:
Sunday, June 21st - 2:00 PM - St Dunstans Church - 28003 Robinson Canyon Road, Carmel Valley, 93923. We will have a bagpipe player, and light refreshments following the service. The service should last 30 - 40 minutes. We would love to have you attend, but understand that it is Father's Day, and many of you will have family commitments. We wish this could be another time, but this is what worked for our family, and the church.
Please let me know if you plan to attend.
Thanks so much.
Hugs to all,
Kerin
