It was just announced on the official Spartan Athletics website that the SJS-USC game will be nationally televised by Fox Sports Net. Only the Spartans will be playing two BCS bowl winners in the first two weeks of the season. Pete Carroll's Rose Bowl Champs Southern California (38-24 over Penn State after leading at halftime 31-7) and Kyle Whittingham's Sugar Bowl champs Utah.(over #4 Alabama 31-17).
Your San Jose State alumni will be hosting a tailgate at the USC game. It's the bar that will be a no-host. Like last year's away games, alumni will be asked to make a small donation toward the cost of the food.

One of the best USC tailgating areas is on the lawn at the northwest corner of the L.A. Coliseum. in the past we have been able to park in the fenced lot and carry a keg onto the lawn in this area. (just outside the lower left in this photo.)
