I received an email from Dick Vermeil that he had bought out OnTheEdge winery in upper Napa Valley and was putting his name on all of their wines... As a Napa Valley native should!
He just announced his wine club today which includes free tasting at their downtown Calistoga location (on the north side of Lincoln just west of the bridge).

Maybe we can get Vermeil's '57 teammates Claude Gilbert, John Colombero, Emmett Lee, etc. to gather with Bobby Beathard, John Madden, Pat Lovell and Dick Mannini at the Sept. 26th Cal Poly game? It will be over 50 years since the Spartans last lost to the Mustangs.
