The Sunday morning San Francisco Examiner was available for purchase in newsstands in San Luis Obispo since before WW II. The morning Chronicle has been home delivered and in news racks in SLO County for decades—but no longer.
The local distributor was told that they will no longer deliver the morning San Francisco Chronicle to the central coast. If he wants to sell it, he'll have to drive up and pick it up.
Do you think they told their car dealer advertisers?
The much fatter, and bigger selling Los Angeles Times delivers to San Luis Obispo County.
It was a no-brainer. "Sayonara Sporting Green".
