Hello Everyone...
As Bob might say... "That's All Folks"... "Curtains"... -30-... "The End"... "Shows Over"...
The end came for Bob today (5/1) at 3:35 PM.
Kerin Burns, Bob's first wife called Lee Junta... he called me to get me into action as the informer...
Bob was at his son Scott's home in Paso Robles... Dave Roberts had played his taxi drive part taking Bob from Ashland to Paso Robles. Leaving Ashland at 4:00 AM Monday they got to Paso Robles at 4:00 PM...
Getting Bob settled in last monday Dave called me to fill me in on some humorous travel moments... Bob was a notorious hat, cap of all types collector... told Dave he wanted these... So Dave said... "instead of arguing"... he tossed box after box into the back of his car... Bob then demanded that he take along a box of socks... over 100 pair... then Dave said... "No Under wear?" Bob's simple reply... "Who needs underwear where I'm going?"... Dave replied... "And the Socks?"
Bob in his closing days had gone downhill fast... suffering grand mal seizures one after the other... he was on morphine to relieve pain and with body functions shutting down passed away with his family present.

In closing it has been tremendous the reception that all of you gave Bob at our 4/2 Gathering... a special time for one and all... many thanks for being part of the moment...
