You better not delay in ordering away game tickets for our Labor Day weekend opener in the Los Angles Memorial Coliseum. This story was taken from Saturday's LA Times:
That's the ticket
"After a slow start caused by economic uncertainty, USC officials said they once again sold out the 59,000 season tickets that are available at the Coliseum.
That figure does not include tickets allotted for students and opponents.
"Everybody wondered what the response would be in the economic environment," Carroll said. "Hopefully, we can do them right by playing well for them."
Craig Kelley, an assistant athletic director, said about 1,300 ticket holders from last season did not renew, but those seats quickly sold out online.
USC is still selling ticket packages that include all home games except UCLA. Single-game tickets go on sale in a few weeks."
Pete Carroll hasn't yet settled on his starting QB against Dick Tomey's Spartans,
but you can keep up on Trojan spring football on this LA Times site:
LA Times USC Football coverage
What has the San Jose Mercury-News been covering about San Jose State's Spring football practice? Maybe a little more press coverage would help our season ticket sales. Has anyone even mentioned that 'Bama bashing Sugar Bowl champ Utah will be in Spartan Stadium on Sept. 12th?
San Jose State fans and band have previously been ticketed for seating in the west endzone (shown at bottom). Here's the link to the Spartan Football ticket office...which has yet to be updated:
