Chapter 8 of "The Captive American" hit a nerve. Gerrymandering of districts lets politicians pick their voter and eliminate those who are the opposition.

Lee Brandenburg uses a San Jose district as an example, but I've got a more ridiculous one right here near Legends bar in Morro Bay!
