Of course, any sort of Free Radio has to be good, but I strongly feel if the likes of Atlantic 252 and WRL266 were at good strength on LW, it would be a massive success. As I said before, LW reception is now easy with those noise cancelling DSP chip receivers, and these tiny radio chips can be utilised anywhere there is a 3 volt supply. Also it's fun, and as mentioned, 261 kHz is never used by a regular standard station. 279 kHz is also 'free'. More stations will close on LW, so I think it has no other use other than as a Hobby music and Amateur Band. MW will also go similar, and of course, it's been happening on SW's for many years. I do find SW QSB spoils music, but on LW, you simply get a steady non QSB propagation over 1000's of miles. All you have to do is 'manage' your local noise. Amateurs have found ways to do this, and those noise cancelling chip LW Radios actually make BBC R4 on 198 sound like VHF, David LW
