I have recently splashed out an purchased a raft of new offshore radio books. I am now reading this book. It is really nicely produced and very well put together. It is absolutely packed full of fascinating photos and documents never before published. I have not got very far into the book yet, but already it is proving to be fascinating. It has been written rather like a novel, but this actually doesn't detract from the story which is already revealing a lot to me about Reg Calvert's personality. Dorothy Calvert was a guest at one of our CM offshore conventions many moons ago and proved to be a little shy. This book by her daughter tells the whole story, warts and all. I thoroughly recomend this book to any discerning offshore radio historian, but it is also full of fascination for anyone interested in the world of music and management.
