My take is, it was more the Dutch/Belgium side, supplied the essentials, & made the money - Radio Mi Amigo & Sylvan Tack. But the English side, did most of the ship-born side of the Management. Whoever was on board at the time. During the days of the Caroline roadshow, Rob Eden had a lot of influence, though Ronan was still very much the boss.
Of course the Ship was getting very old & should have been replaced years before. The real turning point came, when Radio Mi Amigo withdrew their backing. It was a huge struggle against everything after that.
Some of the answers ARE in Albert Hood's book, but not all by any means...
We may never know the whole story.
