I used to repair radios etc for a living and don't recommend using WD40 its an oil not a degreaser.If you have an air spaced tuning capacitor it will screw it up,and also mess up your dial cord.I would recommend Isopropyl alcohol,just be careful it doesn't rub out any lettering on the radio dial,if the switches etc are noisy ,there are special cleaners available,just make sure its the type thats ok to use on plastics.
