There was a time a few years ago that station WCRN on 830 Boston was doing exactly the same thing, and they were / are a 50kw station. I used to think, geez, no listeners, no engineers even listening / monitoring..../ caring....
Exactly, no one is monitoring the stations output.
In the early days of commercial radio in the UK when radio was controlled by the IBA, they would have been in big trouble for allowing this to keep happening.
In the late 70's there was a station in Reading called Radio 210 and they were severely castigated by the IBA just because they used audio processing.

It wasn't like that during the day today. Is it happening with the same feed every time? As when I listen all is okay.
I also noticed that it was ok during the day, I can only think that someone has screwed up the programming of the feed switching, as it does appear to happen at the same time every evening.
