Also caught some of Peter's final broadcast and just before the end Dave Foster said he was not happy that the studio didn't work as well as it could have done. There was also some buffering problems for five minutes after I tuned in.
On Sunday morning by mistake I clicked the Radio Caroline bookmark on Winamp, rather than the Caroline North one and listened to that for awhile. I wondered how many internet streams that had connected, Shoutcast showed around 400 and 120 for Flashback.
A Facebook friend of mine who did a short spell as a presenter on the Ross Revenge in the 80's, has posted a large album of photos he took one of the weekend visits to the ship while the broadcast was on which always seem to well booked and enjoyed.
Funds raised from the broadcast show an increase of 30% compared with the compared with 2016.
"For a long time I considered this forum (a.o.) as a platform where I could read various views"
Indeed Bert, rather than the same person starting thread after thread effectively saying the same thing on the same topic with clickbait headlines seeking a reaction, often from the same people.
Hopefully Trigger is just as concerned, posts on messageboards and takes action on things that in the real work matter more than Radio Caroline's format such as what Brexit deal is best for the country, the state of the NHS, poor wages and work conditions for some in the gig economy, education funding, the housing crisis for young people etc etc.
