Yeah its the CD30. It Does make a bit of difference offsetting the tuning by a k or two but I only transmit about 5khz of BW anyway SWR on my antenna starts to go haywire after that. Not like the 1983 Ross, a brilliant sig almost like FM bandwidths. I replaced the standard vx aerial which was about a ft long with one which was about 2'6". This made a big difference to a.m. If you put the radio in engineering mode it makes the sig strength reading come up by about 6 dB which is useful. It also improves the audio because the radio seems to deliberately cut the treble when the signal is weak (below 20 on the sig meter) so an extra +6 on the scale avoids that out to about double the distance. One of the best a.m. enthusiasts radios fitted to a car I reckon. FM is nothing special.
