He was pretty good at creating Jingles (well compared to me, anyway) & made a lot of recorded programmes for RCSW - sadly, very few survive in my Archive now - though I have uploaded one in the past. If you would like to hear one of his shows, let me know.
Mark went on to work on the Ross Revenge & also I understand, did a lot of unsung work on the Supply side of things in the 1980s on land in the UK. He now does various Radio work for BBC Norfolk & Suffolk Etc.
Just listening to Dave Foster remembering the March 20th 1980 Mi Amigo demise 36 years ago & my own memories of that time, I recall it being very windy & cold & I was very sad to see the Pictures on National & local TV of the still sinking Mi Amigo - she was awash, but much of her was still above the waves on the BBC news. But I sensed from the BBC a subtext of "At last, we have finally got rid of Caroline"
That played on my mind & during the visit to the Wreck a week later, organised by "Albert"
with two Divers who told us she was now full of sand, BTW Barry James, organised the Divers.
It was at that moment, I finally decided to do "My bit" & get RCSW on the air & BTW, Barry made some programmes for RCSW - as did his dear wife: "Buddy" - as "Mary Anne"
There are a good many unsung hero's who, over many years - did & still do, kept & keep Caroline going, sadly as we are all getting older - it has to be legal now, we are all too slow to outrun the law
Not many faster (& younger) Caroline supporters are about these days.
