Mark, I think my post was badly worded - I shouldn't have assumed that non anoraks would consider listening to it. Indeed, it's unlikely that they would even know or care if it were on air.
William, true a lot of Borg stations are voice tracked, I wouldn't listen to the Borg myself being a member of the Federation, but as far as I can see the BBCs programmes, (Radios 1,2 etc to 6music are mostly live, even at wee small hours, that's obvious by the SMS texting feedbacks, myself included!) Personally, despite the Beebs crappy past, they seem to be miles better than they used to be. (Or maybe that's because radio has become so dire!) I actually think that voice tracking is souless in the main, and getting a show on the cheap.
