Cant understand why anyone would anchor there - exposed to every quarter, and not using mariners either. Thats easy to spot, as most folk would know that Hull isn't on the coast at all: its well up the River Humber, about 23 miles from the North Sea!
If you go off the 'coast' (or the river front) from Hull you end up not in Holland, but in the small village of NEW HOLLAND.
