With regards to clear channels and the LF end of the band .. I tend to agree, but doubt if I would be hearing such a strong skywave signal from Energy if it weren't for their choice of 1395. Apart from Albania it is an empty channel in Europe and perfect for skip into the UK from Ireland during the winter months. Energy are often rock solid with me, on the car radio, approximately 1 hour before darkness, even in mid-summer. When the Dublin pirates were at the LF end of the band, in the 80s, they were fast disappearing into the noise as nightime drew in, but were good signals at my old QTH in Derby, during the day.
