it simply amazes me how an automated music stream can sound so much better than an actual "live" music radio station from the borg-and yes i an talking about rni yet again! it seems to be getting better day by day and imho it is a tribute to the amount of production work and time and effort that the guys put into it. and i dont care if people knock it because its on the internet or its a tribute station or it doesnt sound right because its not on a.m with all the background noise or any of the other insults people throw at it! what i say is could they do any better?! the only "free" stations that come anywhere near it are wnkr and laser int. and it would seem to be getting relayed by more stations all the time so it must be doing something right. some say it is insulting the original rni-at times it is better than the original rni! i have hundreds of hours of recordings from rni in the 70s as i think it was one of the best stations ever-but when you listen back to some of them they are terrible-the music was apalling at times especially around xmas time!
in one of the previous threads brian scott asked how they could make their shows better-in my opinion it always improves things if you use more jingles-which is the case on the auto service-but not on the actual shows when they are conspicuos by there absence sometimes! take a lesson from joe tedd who sometimes makes his show a total jingle fest!
