there was a bit of excitement on 531 khz 539 metres medium wave on wednesday night, at about 12.15 am i put the radio on and there was a very strong carrier signal on 531, it had a echo to it and it was a offshore radio type carrier signal like the optimod signal radio caroline had on 319, i switched the radio off 10 minutes later and put it on again about 4.00 am, and it was still there, but by 5.30 am as we all know there was nothing, expect it was something like radio switzerland, anyone else put the radio on 2 or 3 times in the night for a few minutes, there was some radio station putting out a very strong carrier signal and underneath you could hear a muffled station. peter.
