Ruud Doets?? (former Veronica TX engeneer, became famous for his relaxed words on air when the Norderney was about to beach in a gale 12 storm) During Gulf War 1 the BBC banned many songs related to the Arab.Muslim culkture, such as the Clash/Rockin the Kasbah, Bangles / Walk like an Egyptian. I used to work for Radio Netherlands in those days and had some preference to play exactly these songs.
