Ry, the answer, by you, to my question is a point well taken.
First, Bush is NOT running for re-election. The fact that liberals even mention the name of Bush in the same sentence with McCain tells me that they don't follow the facts. The hatred you have generated for Bush is unwarranted. He has had events happen that no president has ever had to deal with, and most could have been avoided if presidents would have dealt with problems during their time in office.
Regarding the cost of oil. Speculation is a part of free enterprise that is done on a worldwide forum. Laws have been enacted in this country to stop the speculation and so the speculators have just gone to other countries. The laws of this country can not change what they do in other countries so when you say check and be sure nothing is being done to insure of illegal activity is false. Therefore, you can not stop the fact that China and India are increasing their use of oil and therefore driving up the cost because they will pay anything to get the fuel for their economy.
We need to produce our own fuel and we have the reserves to do just that if the liberals and environmentalist would allow. Today in our society we have the technology to drill anywhere and not cause a hardship on anything. Even during Katrina not one drop of oil was lost from the drilling in the sea so the argument that sea drilling is unsafe is BS. As for ANWAR, this is a desert area, no trees, no rivers, no mountains NOTHING not even flowers. The only time the Caribou go there is in the summer for grazing and the drilling would not be in the summer only during the winter months can drilling be done. This is just like in the oil fields there already and the caribou get along with that, no problem.
Using the topic of oil alone is reason to not vote for Obama. He is against all forms of becoming energy independent. He is against oil, nuclear, oil shale and natural gas. Even if we were to begin hydrogen fuel, have you any idea what it would cost the average person in this country to change in four years. How will people get to work, to the store or how will people Afford to purchase anything if fuel for trucks continue to climb.
Face it Ry the world operates on oil and it will be years before the alternative is reached and our road system can't handle the cars now, can you imagine what it would be like if all transportation were to be sailing vessels on the road.
If Obama wins this election then I think I will advocate for the rest of my life the electing of all liberals. In this way in about 40 years this country will no longer have to worry about them, they will all have died. Liberals are for abortion, gay marriage and gun control, so I figure in 40 years they will all have died out and us conservatives can then take back the country and change the laws back to where they should be.
