: She's a great looking b###h, the same lad
: keeps a few English Bull Terriers, doesn't
: he? I'd like to find out who else keeps the
: Plummer Alaunts. Brian Plummer was a good
: friend of my dads, we've had a few dogs from
: him in the past. We stayed at his home a few
: times, up in Caithness and later when he
: moved further South. There's a photo of me a
: my sisters in the book, In Pursuit of Coney,
: when we were kids. The photo showing that
: despite Brians disastrous, but now well
: known interview with Richard Whitely,
: ferrets make delightful pets. For those who
: have never seen it, the clip is shown on
: every countdown of disastrous moments, or
: funniest moments on TV, always rated in the
: top Ten. The funniest thing about the clip
: is Brians reaction. As the ferret hangs off
: Whitelys finger, with him clearly in pain
: and shock, Brian replies, She's only playing
: with you, if she was serious she'd be down
: to the bone. Brian then goes to hand over
: the ferrets that he has in his hands over to
: Whitely, so he can free Whitelys finger from
: the ferrets gob.
: Brian was a good man, he never accepted
: anything for the dogs he gave us, he was
: always very generous, and hospitable. I
: remember, he sent me a book for my 10th
: birthday, about the history of Boxing, he
: was a good bloke.

: Brian Plummer creator of the Plummer Terrier
: and countrysports writer, set out to create
: a large Hunting-Guard dog, a dog closely
: resembling the ancient Alaunt Gentile, a
: large game hunting, Mastiff type. A dog from
: which many breeds throughout the world are
: thought to be descended.
: Plummer used three English breeds in it's
: creation, Greyhound, Bullmastiff and Bull
: Terrier and later American Bulldog(Scott
: type). In 2003 Brian Plummer passed away,
: but a few of his associates are said to be
: continuing with it's breeding. This breeding
: is clearly in the early stages of
: development, but has an obvious amount of
: growing popularity.
: Here are some specimens to have a look at.
:
: Some cracking looking dogs there Joe..the
: b###h in the third pic I'm sure belongs to a
: friend of mine Lyndon..
