The Argentinian Mastiff is a fascinating breed, as most of us know created by Dr Antonio Martinez and after Antonios unexpected death,
continued by
his brother Augustin and the Martinez family.
In the 1920's,Antonio set out to create the ultimate large game hunting dog, predominantely
using Bull Terrier, Great Dane, Pyrenean Mastiff and Cordoba Fighting Dog, a now extinct breed said to stem from Spanish Mastiff, Old Bulldog of England and early Boxer.
As most will agree, the Dogo Argentino is a spectacular looking animal, here's a few pics of some.
