Ni'Srilan: The Desert: Hypatia and Sterling this is for you

Her wounds ached and her stomach hurt from not eating. She had stayed away from the foliage and the fresh water in Solira. It hadn't smelt right. She had watched as others had suddenly writhed in pain from eating and drinking and knew that she had done the right thing. Then the burning hellcats with yellow-orange eyes had pounced upon her, leaving blisters and open sores along her side. She had laid still afterwards, feigning death so they left her alone. And finally they had. She had found her father and followed him, speaking with Kolun until they reached Desreal where after a brief nap he had sent her on her way, telling her to come to Ni, where Hypatia would take care of her. She wasn't sure if she liked the desert very well, being as it was so hot but then she remembered the Sterling lived here.

She bounced, well as well as a 3 year old could bounce with blisters and wounds along her side. She hesitated every now and then, the sand shifting easily beneath her hooves as the burning pain in her side throbbed harder than normal. Water cascaded over her wounds, cooling them and keeping the sand from sticking and only after a brief pause at the local watering hole did she release a low neigh to both Sterling and Hypatia. Her heart did ache at the thought of her father's condition but she knew that there was nothing else she could do for him.
