He steps into the confines of Ni’Srilan and all Hypatia seems to pick up from this wanderer’s mind is death and destruction. Yup, he’ll be a lightning for sure. Maybe even a minion. Doubtful he’ll get a Shard himself. Hypatia is weary, but comes to wonder if she can’t do what Fenris and Alkonost suggested and use her people as pawns, as her own little chess pieces. Could she manipulate Saga? No, she thinks bitterly, she is simply not like that. (Not consciously, at least.) Air. He thinks, and Hypatia is surprised. He is unlike an Air elemental that she has yet to meet. Even the Falconblade, an Air warrior, is not bent on death and destruction. Actually, he’s a zombie that makes out with the Queen of Solira from time to time. But if Air is his choice, then it is his choice. Why? “I am.” Hypatia stands tall (or as tall as she can manage to seem) and looks at Sage through burning eyes. “You must know,” she simpers, just a little, “that you can’t be charming with me.” She leans her head in, and presses her lips, cold like a fresh spring, to his ear. “I can see through your bullshit.” “I know who you are and what you do.
