She finishes the Wolf Queen’s thought about being silly. However much she envies Fenris, or that she despises Andarin for being too powerful for its own good, she does have a sense of humor. Somewhere. Maybe a little deep down.

It’s not like she’s trying to hide from Fenris, and she would be surprised if she snuck up on the wolf. Her feet drag through the sands, burning them with her tar hooves.

“I suppose it’s easy.”

It’s a sigh, and her head drops down a little as she comes to stand parallel to Fenris, just a few feet away, looking at the sands. A moment later, Kail bobbing at her legs, she lifts her head back up and turns it back towards Fenris. “I’d rather have it simple.”

There is the crooked beginnings of a smile, but her eyes turn back to the horizon and the dunes before it finishes. “But you’re not simple, Fenris. Not at all.” Not with her realm, not with Alcatraz like a puppy dog. “Your family is coming and going out of here.” She thinks of Alkonost, who she would have gladly given her Relic too. “I’d watch out for her. Alkonost, I mean. And Alcatraz. Who is probably beating the shit out of something right now.”

(Little does she know it’s Strandwolf, who’ll she’ll have to repair slowly.) “It’s not easy.” She wishes it was. But it’s getting so much more complicated.
