if i could tear you from the ceiling i’d freeze us both in time and find a brand new way of seeing your eyes forever glued to mine I was used to desert water. It came naturally, from a longer process, than water in places like Andarin or Enipeus. It rained only rarely, here. Water stored in pools for only a couple of days, maybe even hours.. but the ground, the ground kept it for us. Created little outlets, oases. It was more rich, more worldly, filtered by the earth. This was pure. That 'water' out in the mountains? In grassy vallies? Its got pollution and such in it. From concrete jungles. But I'm good at theorizing. At defending any choice I make. Why is it, then, that my answer comes out so undefended? I grew up in a desert. But I've got ulterior motives. Everyone does.. especially those crazy water folks. In a desert? They're weird.. My smile is all-knowing, although perhaps I didn't know Sterlings drippy nature. Anansi's here. Somewhere. Although, with time, schoolyard crushes fade. Nothing lasts..
