“Kail, shut up!”

“He’s coming.”
YEAH!

Kail’s whining was getting a little old, and so she was glad that Baraqel was actually on his way. Kail pounced around and under Hypatia’s legs as she stood still, trying not to smile. Hypatia was happy to see her Commander. She laughs at his thoughts and the way her fire reaches towards him as he approaches her. She tries to calm Kail, but he is simply too happy to see the stallion who explodes everything in sight.

“Hello, Baraqel.” She cannot surprise her own quirky smile, Kail slides along Hypatia’s legs and inclines his head towards Baraqel, his mouth open in his own mischievous sort of way. She listens, and Kail laughs in a barking sort of way at the Commander’s pose. She knows he’s doing the best he can – seeing how he’d rather be blowing everything in sight up and beating everyone else that’s still left. “Maximus came from Andarin, correct? I want to know why he left. If he doesn’t answer me, I’d like you to find out.” She doesn’t think any of her warriors, especially with Baraqel on their tails, would turn, but she would like to know. “Try to be ethical. But don’t be afraid to scare him a bit.”

Baraqel brings out the more explosive of her fiery side.

“I want prisoners though, Baraqel. Fenris is being too good.” Her eyes narrow – the Wolf Queen confuses her. Maybe she’s simple. Or maybe she’s not. She pauses, because she feels that he is about to say something important – for Baraqel, at least.

Kail sits still and cocks his head at the stallion. Tell him I missed him too, ‘patia. “Kail and I missed you too. The deserts did. Even if you’ve blown up half the cacti around.” Kail and her have mimicking smiles. “I’ve met your son. He seems…like you, in a way.” A darker sort of way. “Baraqel –“ she pauses, her head down a little. “Would you teach me some ways to fight?”

Things are coming. Hypatia wants to be ready.
