My caramel dun form had shifted from my previous, laid back stance, so I could compromise some of my weight and place it on the other side of my body. This relieved my legs of some of the weight, and gave me another minute to rest. As my obsidian forelock swept into my honeyed gaze, I watched this Sterling with interest, wondering on his reactions to all I have said.
I notice that the stallion continues to stare curiously at my scar, and this only causes me to raise my head higher with pride; if I had to live an eternity with this facial marring, why not enjoy it? Who says one has to be in total shame of something they could not help but receive? It is a fact of life; feeling good about yourself, even if you're the ugliest bastard on earth, makes you live alot longer than they give credit for. Who the 'they' is, don't ask me. I just know they're there.
I dip my head regally towards Sterling as the stallion issues a congratulations towards me; but I say nothing. I have a feeling that if my vocal chords managed to strum up some sound, and my lips formed any words, they would make me say something jackassed and stupid. Make me seem like a stuck up paladin with all my white glory. Unfortunately (or fortunately, however you may perceive it) none of us Bellycrawler warriors were the good knight kinda type. We fought, we lost and we won, we earned titles, and we lived in a desert. There wa sno good bad and evil about it; we fought for ourselves, with Ni'Srilan at our backs while we did it. Our lives were simple, and yet the msot difficult of all; kill or be killed. Pretty decent analogy if you ask me. It about sums everything up, without getting to elaborate nor vague.
The spy then states that he's quite jealous of my face, which I once more raise again, a knowing smirk hovering over my darkened lips. I blink approval towards him as he adds that it suits me, makes me who I am. I replied with a grunt and a, "You get what you get in the Krieg. I've heard there is only one other guy who has a scar much worse than mine." Just one other. I look second most badass in the land, kids!
