My thoughts danced back to the first day I had planted my dark hooves into the ever-shifting sands of the desert. It had been such a long time ago, already, since I had first spoken with Baraqel, whom had been Bronze. With Altair, an unranked like myself. We had all made it so far. Of course, the very first horse I had made contact with here in the dunes of Ni'Srilan, was none other than the Oracle Queen herself, and Kail. Hypatia had greeted me with open arms, and given me a sense of being needed here in the Bellycrawler's domain. If not for her kindness and ability to make all feel at home, I probably would have gone roving, maybe to Solira, maybe Desreal. Hell no, not Andarin- I still curse those damned mountains for their iciness. Then again, I had gone in the dead of witner; but the feeling still remains.
However, the Oracle had managed to keep me here, all of us here, and has lead us well. I thought maybe it was time for a visit. Calmly, my caramel dun form rose up onto a dune, and I pawed the ground absently, flicking my dark piniohns back and forth. My obsidian forelock drifted into my honeyed brown occuli; the right side of my face was still sensitive to the wind, considering my flesh had been skinned away, and the three claw marks within my face would forever remain. But I was getting used to the bite of even hot winds upon my face, as I would be living with it forever. Thankfully, the blow had missed my eye, else I'd have only left sight- my luck always helped me to prevail. Wonder what Hypatia will think about it. Probably be taken aback, was my bet. After all, most horses whom had seen me after (with the exception of Baraqel, whom greatly approved, and Sterling, whom was only curious) were terrified. Especially Althea and my son.
"Hypatia, are you around these dunes, watching your Vipers? If you are, would you come talk?"
