I think there may be other factors involved. Tigger will barely nibble at her food . . . until I feed her with another dog in close proximity. Then I get lots of other actions from her, depending on the dog I feed her close too. With Bishop she just eats faster. With mozart, she lets him eat first, then he eats a couple of bites from her dish, then she eats. I guess he is her taste tester. Oden, she is eager to eat. If I feed her close to Jubal (her arch rival) - with a fence between them of course, they both attack their food as if to kill it. I am sure they are redirecting . . . I don't do that often, because they get so worked up. Did it once on accident (bowls too close to the fence in adjoining runs), and was amazed at what I saw.
