For anyone that had planned to go to the appraisal in WA, or some other venues. This was posted on a Boerboel forum that I belong to, hope it was ok to cross-post.
Dear SABT Members,
Some of you already know that Thys vonSolms, the senior appraiser, coming to the United States had an accident and is in the hospital. According to his surgeon it would be too dangerous for him to come to North America. The venues Thys was to do are: Flint, MI, Bensalem, PA, Caistor Center (outside Hamilton) Ontario, Redmond, WA and Los Gatos, CA.
These venues are NOT CANCELLED....Only POSTPONED. At this time it is tentatively re-scheduled for mid-November. I'll have confirmation on the dates on October 7 when Thys can view the calendar. For those of you who didn't pre-register....you now have extra time.
I appreciate all of you who understand that accidents do happen. We all wish Thys a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him in November.
The following venues and Breeder Course are still scheduled and will proceed as planned:
Harrisburg, NC, Breeder Course in Concord, NC, Clearbrook, VA, Columbus, OH, Collinsville, IL,
Tempe, AZ, New Orleans, LA and Live Oak, FL. For those members attending the venues listed above please have a copy of your current SABT statement and your dog's paperwork.
The Ramona,CA venue that was previously cancelled will be reconsidered for mid-November.
Please note as of October 8, 2:00 PM, I will be not be available to answer any e-mails or phone calls as I will be on the tour.
