The problem is that we do in a way have a dictator.
Elected true but still able to make decisions for us that we would not make for our self.
We pass laws that restrict what we don't want restricted and allow what we would not allow.
I like your solution "erase the debt" who would sue us , certainly not Sue.
BTW where is all that "physical, real money " anyway
I heard a top economist answer a viewers question on this on fox news.
He looked very paternalistly, at the camera and said It is gone because we were living on credit.
We were over indulgent.
WHERE IS THE PHYSICAL CASH AND WHO HAS IT.

How many wealthy Chinese people do you see living in mansions and driving BMW'S.
