I came across this pic of a 1949 Mercury Coupe...very much like my first car, purchaed in 1958 from Parade Motors on Atlantic Avenue in Richmond Hill.....for $200.00. My uncle thought it was overpriced, as he usually spent 50 bucks for a used car (he was a mechanic).....I bought it anyway, and used it for years....a great car....wish I had it now.
