It is similar in a way to the Atkins diet but it
does not allow processed candy bars like that advertised by the Atkins brand name.
It basically follows a pre-agricultural eating pattern by our ancestors.
Basically, it is the type of food that was found fresh ,and consumable by people of that time.
What is amazing is that the bones and available evidence show none of the current medical diseases of our modern generation.
In a nut shell it restricts dairy and grain products that today is suspected as a root cause of many food allergies, digestive disorders, and neurological illnesses.
Meats are O.K. but only fed free range grass. It is recommended due to hormone, steroids, chemicals
ingested by animals typically by commercial farmers, ranchers.ie, grains that contain unhealthy chemicals
I combine the Paleo diet with organic foods,
which is really more in keeping with this diet anyway.
More expensive Yes!
I look at it like this if you own a car that just runs on premium and you keep putting in regular
your going to have problems and repairs.
I believe that commercial interest to produce as much grains and meats and vegetables at the lowest cost has inadvertently, created a food
supply that might not harm you in the short run but over time the accumulative effect can be unimaginably.
P.S. have you notice disclaimers on food products now that claim not to have any of these unhealthy thing in the product your buying. hey,
they shouldn't have been doing that in the past either but having been caught, they now advertize that they are not doing that anymore.
I personally don't believe it.
It is like a known liar telling you to believe them now, in my opinion.
