Hi there
I have just taken on a rescue dog who is about 10 or 11 months old collie cross. I don't think she has had much training and no background is known. She is getting a lot of walks (on lead and training lead) and going out at least every 2hours but does not pee outside at all. She pees in the house, on carpet in the hall both times even though I've put newspaper down in the kitchen. Although she heads for the front door, I let her out but nothing happens other than wanting to play, so I can't tell when this is a need to wee or play! Latterly it was the former even though we had just come back from a 2 hour walk about an hour previous, but the other times it has just been to go outside and play. How do you get a adult'ish dog who has been in rescue kennels for 5 weeks to associate outdoors with toilet and not inside?
Thanks, Louise
