Yes; she's a baby, and probably a sensitive one at that, and just reaching puberty. Giving her affection and interaction when it is appreciated, and leaving her in peace more when it is not will build up her trust. As she changes hormonally, I suspect there will be more changes ahead. Just be careful not to let her dictate how you are with her. If she obviously wants to be left alone keep your interaction small and then leave her - when she's more out going, play for a while, then leave her too. The danger is she will 'train' you if you respond too obviously to her moods, and her 'growly' behaviour might then become manipulative.
I would have a routine - and feed, walk, play as usual, only doing 'extras' when she's feeling positive.
