'Ere, I recognise those toes! (good job Jacqui washed her feet before going to bed) Actually we bought the biggest mattress we could afford and I constructed the frame for it. Dolly (the dog between the pillows) has always slept in our bed. I took her from a pile of puppies when she was 7 weeks old and to me it just seemed natural for her to be with us at night - during winter she radiates heat all night, much better than a hot water bottle that goes cold. Willy (the rough haired Jack Russell) suffered rejection from his first home when he was a little puppy and he was sooo pleased to have a new home and soooo didn't want to be rejected again. To cut a long story short I said, "come and cuddle up with us mate - we'll look after you" Jacqui found Nelly (the biggest of them - who really is a big nelly) in the middle of a busy road at 8 in the morning. Because she was a little puppy, she picked her up and bought her home. At first she slept in a basket and was only allowed on the bed in the morning, but learnt to creep on quietly once we were asleep. Occasionally she gets a free gliding lesson (catapult assisted launch) if she takes up too much room. Rosie (the little dark brown dog) is still a puppy and gets lots and lots of hugs and just does what everyone else does. The cats? Well, they're cats and do what they like. Jacqui says it's all MY fault. Still, since I've lost weight I've stopped snoring, so its not all bad...........

: Hello!
: You've given me the perfect excuse to share
: my favourite recent dog pic with you; so
: thanks.
:
: Seriously, though; it is wise to make your
: bed available by invitation only if your dog
: is testing you in other ways, but we
: actually had a large bed specially made to
: accomodate our pack (the pics NOT our bed).
: My husband actually refused to go back to
: training classes because the stipulation was
: 'no dogs in beds'. It's your decision, just
: make sure your dog is not going there, then
: growling at you!!
