Dear Mrs Bed Sharer
There are debates on whether dogs should be allowed to share personal space with their owners, which includes beds and sofas.
I feel it is personal choice whether the dog shares the bed/sofa.
If there are any behavioural issues surrounding the bed or sofa, such as guarding or refusal to move when asked, then I would recommend some training in this area so the dog realises it is your space not his/hers, however as you say there are not behavioural issues and everyone is happy with the sharing then - ENJOY!! It's all part of dog/pet ownership and bonding.
Best wishes
Jo
