We are told in Mark that these signs shall follow them that believe. That they shall cast out demons, and shall lay hands on the sick and they will recover. I recently was reprimanded from my Seventh-day adventist pastor when I tried to cast out demons from the treasurer. She would not acknowledge the poor in our community. I was told by several people in the church that she was hosting an evil spirit over a ten year period. We were in the Pator's office at the time and when the pastor asked me what I thought the problem was, I asked him if he really wanted to know. He said he did so I got up and walked over to her and gently laid a couple fingers on her shoulder, she recoiled and said in a gutteral demonic voice "don't touch me." She jumped out of her chair and tried to escape the office. I prevented her by standing between the her and the door and asked the pastor for assistance. He immediately got up and restrained her while I attempted to cast the demonic force out of her. She turned into the pastor's chest and started crying. We asked her if she was alright and believing she was, we went home.. She met me on the next Sabbath with a smile and a hug but then the following week, the pastor called me and told me if I didn't step down from all my positions at the church she was going to press charges on both of us for assault. He said since she had been in the church a long time and her parents were church members that she could have him fired. I think the Spirit of Fear went into him and I haven't been back to the church since. My husband was head Elder and he too has not been back. My question is "Do your church members press charges of assault if someone tries to cleanse them?" Is this a big problem today?
