Everyone must bring a scorekeeper for his or her car. The scorekeeper must sign in at the pit gate so they can get an armband, which allows them to sit in the scoring section on the grandstand side. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
SCORING INSTRUCTIONS
When the race starts (the green flag drops) your car must go all the way around the track. When it passes the start/finish line, look at the numbers on the timer and write that number in first box. Continue to do the same for the second lap, write the number in box 2 and so on.
When your car has made ten laps, hold your scorecard up so the head scorekeeper can see the car number and acknowledge your score. You will hold up your card at every 10-lap interval throughout the race. When you reach lap 70, hold up your card and 3 fingers, at lap 80 hold up your card and 2 fingers, at lap 90 hold up your card and 1 finger and at the end of lap 100 hold up your scorecard and a closed fist. This indicates your car has finished the race.
At the bottom of your scorecard is a legend to indicate events that will occur during the race. Pit stops, during green flag laps are allowed but must be indicated on your scorecard with a ‘P’ written in the right corner of the next timed lap. When your car returns to the track, resume writing in times in the ‘P’ square only when they pass the start line.
When a red flag is thrown stopping the race, scoring stops. Indicate with an ‘R’ in the right corner of the next lap. When racing begins again, you will write a time in the next lap box when the car passes the start line.
There are several Enduro Oklahoma officials that keep track of times when cars are in the pits. When the race is over, your scorecard will be checked to be sure that times are accurate. Race winners are not declared until both the scorecard and the tech inspection is completed.
