I KNOW THIS IS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR MANY I HAVE PURCHASED THE KITE TO FIX THIS PROBLEM DID NOT HELP I WIRED MY FAN UP HOT RUNS ALL THE TIME STILL IF I RUN IT VERY LONG OVER HEATS THROWING ALL THE ANTIFREEZE OUT INTO THE CAB ANY IDEAS ON WHAT TO DO NEXT?

Once I bought the kit from Arron I have not had any problems with over heating. I know I had a problem at first to get all the air out of the system it was a pain... Bob

I guess that is what I did not do get the air out. How do I go about getting the air out I am sure that is what the problem is because it spews the antifreeze out with some force.

there is a valve between the cab and the bed, you might park it on a little incline to make sure the air all gets out. also you might check to make sure the fan is wired the right way. some have had the fan blowing air out instead of sucking.

I guess the value will release the water and antifreeze do I need to run water thru the radiator as the same time to remove the air and thanks so much hope this works I have been trying for a year to fix this problem will be glad to get this over with

Check in the manual, page 19, for the procedure to refill your engine coolant a pdf file of the manual can be found here and also if you could put your hand on a timing light, you could check to make sure your timming is set at 7 deg before top dead center MAX Sorry, if some time you don't understand what I'm talking about, I'M FRENCH... by the way, some time I don't understand what you say, it's probably because I'M FRENCH !!!

If you can't solve your problem make sure you don't have a bad manifold illustrated in this Kazuma Tech Bulletin. I always put my Mammoth on a steep incline or jack up the front with a floor jack. I fill the engine with coolant while it is idling. Then I cap the radiator. I then fill the upper reservoir to the correct level and then cap it. I let it then idle to build up pressure and then bleed the water valve. If you put a thermostat in make sure the temperature coil faces down into the manifold. I installed a mechanical temperature guage to check the water temperature coming out of the thermostat. I put the temperature probe in a pipe in the upper radiator hose at the radiator. I also installed the resistor in the Kazuma temp unit I bought from Aaron. I have had no temp issues for more than a year now. The fan should pull air through the radiator. Jeff Camo Mammoth

TRIED TO BLEED THE WATER FROM THE VALUE BEHIND THE BED NOTHING IS COMING OUT. I LET THE MOTOR RUN FOR OVER 5 MINUTES WHAT NEXT?

All I know you have a big problem if no water is coming out. I would think you have no circulation in your system than. I hope someone else on the forum with more knowledge on engines than me can help. Bob

At first glance my first guess would be that the water pump is not pumping. The pump pulls water from the bottom of the radiator and pushes it into the block up through the head into the intake manifold and back to the radiator through the top hose. You need to look for circulation. Jeff Camo Mammoth

While the motor is running water is flowing in the over flow it keeps doing this until it runs out of the overflow then it will stop and the over flow will be empty but the water level is still full. Sometimes it will run ok not over heating.

If you remove the radiator cap you will be able to see if the water pump is circulating coolant. Jeff Camo Mammoth

If you have absolutely no coolant coming out from the ball valve (when the valve is open and both the radiator and the reservoir are full)and if you have no thermostat installed on this engine, that mean your cooling system is plugged... Take a look at the 2 big coolant hose coming out of the engine and follow them to the radiator, you may find the hose pinched somewhere Underneath the mammoth the rubber hose transfer to a metal tube and back to rubber hose to connect to the radiator (The metal tube might be crushed) MAX MAX Sorry, if some time you don't understand what I'm talking about, I'M FRENCH... by the way, some time I don't understand what you say, it's probably because I'M FRENCH !!!

My apologies, that was not what I was trying to convey. Actually it proves how poor my written French language skills are. My father's ancestors trace back to Nova Scotia (Acadians' expulsion, cir. 1755) which eventually settled down here in south Louisiana. We are generally called "Cajuns". Actually, my father speaks an archaeic 18th century french dialect. The Cajuns here have little or no written French language skills. Growing up, I never learned to speak french. I am only familiar with some phrases. Nevertheless, glad to have you on the forums. I really like the new electronic dash on your Mammoth. Jeff Camo Mammoth
