Could somebody please help? I am trying to fit pads to my brakes but it appears to be a physical impossibility. There just doesn't appear to be enough clearance to push them on. I've loosened the allen-key nut (whatever that does)and I still can't squeeze the plate with the rods on in far enough to clear the end of the caliper. Also, why is one side of the caliper hole at rear covered with a rubber plug? And, do the pads just float either side of the disc? Is there nothing to keep them separated?
