I don't thing your problem have something to do with the pump... Here is a picture of the engine
This is how the water is circulating -Cold water enter in intake(blue arrow) -Sucked by the pump (green circle) -Pumped through the engine cooling jacket -Exit the engine by the thermostat housing (red arrow) -Circulated through the radiator and cooled down -The cycle restart If there is no water coming out of the ball valve when you open it, you should -Make sure the water reserve is full -Unplug the valve hose on the thermostat housing (red circle), you should have water coming out, if not -Remove the thermostat housing, now you will certainly have water coming out By doing this you will make sure the valve, hose and the thermostat housing are not plugged keep us in touch MAX
