Hi,
I'm a new owner of a 2009 mammoth, I received it crated 2 weeks ago.
It took me about 8 hours (one man alone) to un-crate, assembly and flush all fluid, and an other 8 hours to:
-Check all connection (Fuel pump and right head light was not connected)
-Change the screw in gas cap
-Loctit the brake caliper bolts and adjust brake (Rear right brake was too tight)
-Install battery distribution block and rework the battery post connection (Wires was too short)
-Insulate the HV coil wire (To save it from rubbing to the distributor brace)
-Adjust the 4WD cable
-Adjust the transmission cable
-Adjust the timing on distributor (Was set to 0 deg. and supposed to be 7)
-Adjust engine idle RPM (Was way too high)
-Machine the secondary clutch (Belt was at about ½” from the top of the pulley)
-Change the belt for a Carlisle UA412 (Original belt is too short after the modification)
-Install washer between the starter and housing (Starter “click, click” a couple time)
-Install steering stopper (Hydraulic rubber hose ¾” long on each side) (To save the boots to get pinched)
WOW, now it’s a great machine !!!,
Kazuma made some upgrade in the 2009 models
-Change the odometer for a digital one with blue back light (gas, speed, temp, odometer, hours meter)
-Insulate the engine compartment (with aluminum duct tape)
-Change the steering for a grey one (with a unknown logo on it)
-The primary clutch is now properly adjusted
-The secondary clutch have changed (now you need to machine an other piece of the clutch)
-The transmission high speed problem seem to be fixed (time will tell) ???
I would like to thank you guys to provide simple fix for this great machine !!!
I will post some pictures after the installation of the audio setup…
MAX
by the way, some time I don't understand what you say, it's probably because I'M FRENCH !!! ![]()
